With less than 1,000 days to go until the Olympic and Paralympic Sailing events set sail in Weymouth & Portland, the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) have announced that a series of five new visitor boards have been set up around Weymouth and Portland offering giving local residents and visitors details on the first venue completed for the 2012 Games.

In 2002 the FPA fitted the Cerne Giant with what at the time was believed to be the world’s largest condom! Sadly this was bettered by the Dutch in 2007 with a 38 meter (127′) high hot pink air balloon shaped like a condom.

Sir Timothy John “Tim” Berners-Lee, OM, KBE, FRS, FREng, FRSA is a British engineer and computer scientist and MIT professor credited with inventing the World Wide Web, making the first proposal for it in March 1989. Sir Tim lived for many years in Wimborne, Dorset.
