www.VisitorsWeymouth.co.uk is now in it’s pre-launch phase and events can be uploaded live to the site by event organisers at no charge. The multilingual page will include full descriptive copy, a photo gallery, interactive location map with directions, full contact details with website link and visitor comment section.

With sales of IPhones, Androids and Blackberries fast becoming the norm and 3G mobile services widely available we thought what better way of keeping visitors to Weymouth and Portland informed of what’s happening once they have arrived in town than to have a mobile version of VisitorsWeymouth.co.uk.

Weymouth and Portland reaches out to the world with multilingual web pages in preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games when the borough hosts the sailing events at The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. This article in The Daily Telegraph ( link on post page) made us realise just how important it was for The Weymouth and Portland Visitor Guide to provide multi lingual translations of all of it’s pages, so we got down to it and made a few changes. “After a truly spectacular opening day at the Skandia Sail for Gold World Cup regatta at a windswept and sun-drenched Weymouth Bay we can, with some confidence, predict that 2012 will be the best Olympic regatta yet. The gauntlet has been duly thrown down to the other sports – and the clock is ticking: 1,046 days to go.” Link to the article is on this posts page.
