The Organisers of MarineEx have announced major changes for 2010 with the show now extended to include a leisure element and the venue being for the main part Dean and Reddyhoff’s new Portland Marina . It will also include The Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy who will have dinghy and wind surfing equipment on their ground.
The move was necessary to meet the increased demand for stands, bigger stands and primarily to be able to offer good quality berthing for boats on show. At Portland Marina there will be over 200m of “Med Style” berthing available in a stunning location with excellent all round facilities.
MarineEx 2010 will be able to offer “Try-A-Boat” to the public and at present they have 6 boats available from a small sailing boat to a large yacht, a R.I.B. and a good sized motor yacht – expect news of even more soon.
This major Maritime event looks set to be one of the premier shows of it’s type on the south coast this year and looks set to grow and grow in the run up to 2012 when the Sailing Events of The 2012 London Olympic Games come to Weymouth and Portland.
More announcements are expected over the coming weeks from the organisers.
