Do you want to do your bit to help keep the old railway line tidy? Friends of the Rodwell Trail have organised a litter pick on Saturday 21 November.
If you’ve got a couple of hours to spare, why not join other volunteers for a clean up along the Trail starting at 10am this Saturday.
Residents are being asked to meet at the gun emplacement, Newstead Road entrance to the Trail, where a safety briefing and litter picks, gloves and bags will be provided.
Bernard Franklin, Chair of the Friends Group said: “Holding regular litter picks helps to make a huge difference to the appearance of the Trail so, if it’s not too wet, I hope that local residents will join us this weekend to take part in our autumn blitz.”
The litter pick will be held from 10am to midday and the Council’s parks team will be on hand to remove any rubbish that’s collected.
