Weymouth Sea Life Park at Lodmoor Country Park is an attraction full of fun and discovery for all the family .
LATEST: Weymouth Sealife Park to host the televised, South West – CHILDREN IN NEED FUNDRAISING PARTY on 20th Nov 2009. This means the Park will be closed all day for the event unless you have a ticket. Tickets will be available for the night on a first come first serve basis. In May 2009 Weymouth SEA LIFE Park launched its new feature – Crocodile Creek! Here you can “Embark on a safari style log flume adventure and come face to face with crocodiles!”
Also in 2009, The Turtle Sanctuary welcomed 100 new baby turtle residents. Each are about the size of a 50-pence-piece and were destined for the UK pet trade, but were confiscated by Customs officers when it was discovered they were not accompanied by the correct paperwork. Weymouth’s Turtle sanctuary is part of international efforts to generate captive bred stock for future re-introduction programmes.
This follows on from 2008 when Weymouth SEA LIFE open its doors to Adventure Island; a fantasy land with four amazing children’s rides – a drop ride, tugboat, pirate ship and seal themed roundabout. A great place for any young explorer!
There is so much for all the family at the Sea Life Park, in addition of the new features you’ll find Otter and Penguin Sanctuaries, a Tropical Shark Nursery, the Seahorse Breeding and Conservation Centre and lots lots more …
