It is now just 8 weeks since we launched www.visitorsweymouth.co.uk and we are seeing a steady growth in our visitors numbers.
It’s not that usual for sites like this to publish their visitor figures but we thought local business may be interested and it doesn’t really bother us the fact that the numbers are still quite low as we know where we are heading!
Although the numbers are still very small they are actually way ahead of what we had been expecting mainly due to Organic search engine referrals now starting to kick in daily, something we hadn’t really been expecting to happen for a few more weeks.
The two graphs below show the change in search engine referrals relative to referring sites in the first and second half of October this change is very significant. We are able to control to a certain extent the site referrals by the number of posts we make to the following Twitter accounts and Facebook pages but the search engine referrals are dictated by the content we have on the site and it’s availability in search engine indexes.
We have very high hopes for first quarter 2010, by this time site content will have grown significantly as more events, general info and the FREE business pages are added to the site.
Don’t forget if you have an event to promote or run a tourist related business in Weymouth, Portland or south Dorset get in touch and we’ll feature you at no cost.
The graph below gives an overview of all visitors to www.visitorsweymouth.co.uk this October to date.
