VisitorsWeymouth Mobile

With sales of IPhones, Androids and Blackberries fast becoming the norm and 3G mobile services widely available we thought what better way of keeping visitors to Weymouth and Portland informed of what’s happening once they have arrived in town than to have a mobile version of VisitorsWeymouth.co.uk.

Today we started to run trials of a mobile version of VisitorsWeymouth.co.uk and are hoping for feedback on this over the coming weeks.

Once the site is up and running mobile users will be able to access details of events, restaurants, attractions, activities and places to stay in Weymouth and Portland with full access to the entire site content en route and when they arrive in Weymouth and Portland.

Visitors to the site won’t need to remember a different website address as the mobile version recognises the user is using a mobile device and delivers them the mobile version by default. This also has the benefit  that when they search Google on a mobile device and find one of the sites pages it will always display in the mobile version. This includes the multilingual versions of all the pages on the site.
