Welcome to Weymouth & Portland

Red Arrows at Weymouth Carnival 2009: More Videos
Welcome to VisitorsWeymouth.co.uk your holiday guide to Weymouth and Portland the hosts of the 2012 Olympic Games Sailing events.

The site is new and we aim to build up the content in the latter part of 2009 in preparation for the 2010 holiday season. If you should discover the site before the content is here hopefully you will still find it useful and interesting.

If you are a south Dorset business that has something to offer visitors to the area please drop by again soon. Soon there will be the facility for you to add a page about your business complete with links to your website, this has been slightly delayed from planned late September as we decided to give priority to the add event section. For now though if you are interested just e mail us your details and we'll get in touch. In the majority of cases this will be totally free of charge and will be we are sure just perfect for Restaurants, Cafes, Attractions and Activities, Event Organisers and local clubs and societies. Visitors to the site will be able to view your details and photos, comment on and rate what you have to offer for the benefit of others and find directions to you using our interactive maps. Your page will also be translated into 20 different languages in preparation for the international recognition the area will be receiving in the run up to the 2012 London Olympic Games.

We hope you will find our new Weymouth and Portland website both interesting and useful and that in time you will come and visit this beautiful part of the Dorset coast ...

This year was our third visit to Weymouth in 5 years and we loved the place more than ever. Weather not quite so good as before but think this was prob the same everywhere. We still had a great time though and will be back again before long. Great to see the sandcastle man and donkeys still on the beach !
